I set up a flickr set for MUD screenshots and I'll continue to upload them as I find interesting ones. This particular one is just for Chris, since he asked if there were any Simpsons themed areas. There are but unfortunately the game with one was down at the time of class, so I took a screenshot. Enjoy!

I always thought it was funny to do stuff like this. People play this joke all the time with items that kill you instantly, but I still never get tired of it. It's somehow part of the culture now. Everyone begins to tell this person that it will kill them if they wear it no matter what, yet when the picked up that I was trying to get them to wear it anyway, they quickly held their tongues.

BlogThis!

I ended up just setting up a webpage to bring up the blogthis window. I created an context menu item in the zMUD client to open the url. I'm not familiar enough with the zMUD api nor really have the time to learn it well enough to make even a simple plugin, but it works for the scope of this project.

Project stuff

I fixed the little problem with this blog not scrolling. The blog class handled the scrolling stuff apparently and the divider I was using didn't have that same class. Problem fixed, next!
I'm starting to get a lot of discussion on my project wiki. Some of them are serious, a lot are funny.
You can find that here, but just to cover my bases it contains coarse language.

A great example of the social aspects of MUDs. Every player logged on is in the same room talking with each other. This is very common, regardless of the fact that its the middle of the night.

New Blog

Fiddled around with the new project blog. It mimics the game's website for the most part, although I'm not too proficient with html and iframes, I don't know if the scrolling is going to work correctly once the blog posts go off the screen. I guess I'll fix that when it happens. Anyway, I managed to get the RSS feed for the changes file working. You can find it here. I'm going to see if I can get some people from the MUDs I play to join in a discussion on the project wiki. It'd be pretty interesting to get some good debates going on.
